Hello,
What do you recommend for aluminum? Will .025 2024-T3 SHEET work? Or should I order something else sense I have to order?
Thanks, Mark

Yes, .025", 2024 will work, but so will .020", and 6061-T6 would work as well...Ed

Thanks Receare!
Of the .020" or the 6061-T6 is one easier to work with than the other?

For baffle boxes, .020" 6061-T6 is hard to beat for workability, and Cost...6061 is less expensive than 2024, is slightly less resistant to corrosion, but for baffle boxes, which are usually painted anyhow, this poses no problem.....Ed

I also have a set of completed carbon fiber baffles that would save you the tie of making a set of aluminum ones

Hello; Does anyone have any pictures or better yet some templates for the bottom cooling tins for a VW engine? I took my Revmaster 1835 to get rebuilt to a 2100 and they didn't install the original tins. Revmaster suggested that I make some. Please send offline to mbflys@yahoo.com
Regards, Marc (East Los Angeles)

I have webspace where I could host such files... cheers Hans

I had made a additional oil sump, to increase oil cooling and give the engine one quart additional oil. Juergen
