Spent 19 hours working on the IILS project this weekend. Fabricated and temporarily installed front controls, installed a push-button oil hatch on the top cowl, fine tuned the canopy skirt-to-top cowl fit, finished sanding on the canopy skirt and 3-4 other small tasks and adjustments. But it doesn't look any more like an airplane than it did last week. Maybe its time to order fabric and get that on so it looks like I did something. Tom

Hang in there, Tom. You'll finish it.
Maybe this is a bad time to say I spent almost the same amount of time this weekend working on one that supposedly IS already finished. Even after they're done they're not done!

I will stay at it. The only thing that delays progress is bow hunting in October/November, but that doesn't take too long. There will be bacon wrapped backstrap and loins on the grill at my hangar.
Ordered some parts for the 2180 rebuild, will do a complete teardown this winter - on my breakfast bar, lol. (No wife, and Inspector Dog doesn't care). ;D
