Hello everyone.
I live in Canada, I would like to know if anyone has experience shipping aircraft to Canada from the States.
I would really like to find a started Sonerai 2 and ship it up here for me to work on, but my boss says shipping aircraft accross the border is a nightmare.
Anyone have any experience? Is it easier if the plane is not flying (ie. just parts)?
Thanks!
-Greg

Hi Greg I know of one guy in Québec that bought a S2 in western US and brought it back here... I believe it was not registered in Canada yet ,but this guy could tell you more about that... I also learned recently this S2 to be for sale... Where are you located in Canada Gaston

Hopefully the end regulation will exempt us. Where I love (Montreal) the ATC Fee isn't as much as $100 but exempts all aircraft under 1250 lbs, approximately. So it exempts me. I don't have a transponder so I fly the low level VFR corridors. There are maybe 25-30 controlled airports and the territory is 3000 mi X 3000 miles so they can be avoided. Alas 4 of the bigger centers surround me. Many of the smaller centers will let you in if you ask.

I live in central ontario. I figured that there is a lot more options for sonerais for sale in the states, so if it was possible to import it would make it easier for me to find the one I am looking for.
