Hi, I'm new to the forum and Sonerai's as well. I'm on my way to pick up a Sonerai 1 with what I believe to be a Super Vee conversion. I will post pics ASAP but if anyone knows about the modification it would be greatly appreciated. The plane has wet wings, a squared off tail section, a tilt forward canopy, and a very long prop extension assembly (actually has a bearing structure). The wings are square and the ailerons run the full length of the wing. Its a sharp looking plane but needs a little work. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks, TIM

I remember reading the spar is built out of thicker material.

I purchased a sonerai II a year and half ago with the supervee engine conversion. The engine only had 218hrs on it since it was built in 1978. I decided to upgrade the engine since technology has supplied us with the F1 prop hub system. (i also found a bit of rust on the internals from sitting for 25yrs without running) I believe the supervee hub extension was a good deal back in the day. I think fred put on a good amount of hrs on his supervee set up.
