Hey y'all, My father and I have just gotten the plans for a 2LS. I had asked a few questions on the old boards and Schmleff may or may not remember the kid with the camera asking questions at Oshkosh 2010. Anyway, we were wondering if there was anyone in Michigan with a Sonerai that we could harass if we had build questions.

Hi Windy: I'm not in Michigan, but I am right next door in Wisconsin. Feel free to harass as much as you need. Just email me at fredkeip@aol.com.

Man if I lived that close to Fred, he would probably have to get a restraining order on me for too much harassment! Some are just luckier than others. Tim

He probably feels pretty safe since there is a lake between most of MI and WI. However, most of the year in the UP so I am not that far from the WI border. We started our jig table today- I am looking forward to getting into working on the plane itself.

Hi Windy,
My name is Matt and I just moved to Howell Mi, just outside of Detroit. I used to be a frequent lurker of the old board but I just renewed my memberships here to be able to post. I have had 4 Sonerais, I am the current owner of the Suberai, and an A&P. I would be happy to show you whatever you would like about the design.

While we are working on the plane, what kind of flight training should I look at getting? Most of my time is in slow, stable things (Piper Tomahawk and assorted gliders) . I plan on working on my taildragger endorsement this summer, but I somehow imagine that a 65 hp cub flies a little different that a Sonerai.

Hi my name is Brian Fredrick. I live in Holland Mi. I am building a Sonerai I. I also have a Sonerai II that is for sale if you need parts. The fuselage is welded, and the ribs and spars are pre formed. The cowling is in good shape. I can be contacted by phone at 616-566-7009 after 10:00 am - 11:30 pm or at BIGREDBRIAN2@YAHOO.COM Keep looking at the Sonerai Web site. I will be placing a post for a Sonerai fly-in at the Park Township Airport in Holland Mi. I had a Sonerai fly-in last summer and we had a good time and had three great looking Sonerai's fly to it. I hop it's bigger and better this year.

Cool. Hopefully Dad and I can slip down in the Tomahawk. Was the cowling finished at all or is it still bare?
