I'm getting set up to bend in the fuselage sides to form the tail for the stretch. Per the plans, the bend axis is at station 83 3/8 which is close to the location of the lower longeron splice. Wanted to verify that for the bottom longeron the bend location should be on the 3/4 OD forward tube instead of the 5/8 OD aft tube. Bending the 3/4 tube makes sense, but wanted to double check.

Yes, that is where mine is bent, on the 3/4", immediately aft of the pilot's position. This is also where it shows on my plans.

You are correct about the bend being in the 3/4 tube. In the top longerons it's at sta. 83 3/8 but in the bottom ones it's at 79 3/8 (which is forward of the splice).
At the time I was an inexperienced metal worker and was pretty nervous about this step but it worked out alright. Good luck.
