Curiosity question. Who designed stretch for the the 2L? Was it John Monnet or someone else? And was there a new Stress Analysis done, or are the original g loading figures still being quoted?
Cheers

Peter: John Monnett designed the stretched version of the Sonerai II. The only stress calculations that I've ever seen are for the original Sonerai II, but that's not to say that the calculations weren't done for the "S". The load factors/weights have always been the same for the airplanes with the reinforced wings (modified "A", "B", and "S") and large engines. They are: 1. +/- 6 g's (aerobatic category) at 750 lbs gross. 2. +/- 4.4 g's (utility category) at 950 lbs gross. 3. +/- 3.8 g's (standard category) at 1150 lbs gross.

Thanks Fred. Reassuring to know that it was John who did the design.
