After a torturous 11 months of working on it I finally flew my little sports car today - oh happy day! New and different things include new heads, fiberglass intake manifold, fiberglass cooling jacket for the magneto, flywheel replaced by the unimaginatively named "end piece," accessory case chopped down to remove some weight, secondary ignition removed, full flow oil cooling, and probably a few other things I've forgotten about. 11 months is a long time. Most of that time however was spent working on new cooling baffles that never got finished. A project for the future and a lesson learned. The flight was delightful. If everyone had a Sonerai quite a few psychiatrists would be put out of work. Ed

Thanks, OP, I'll keep it in mind but what I was working on was baffles - jackets might be a better word - for updraft cooling. I will go back to it one day.
