Fred,
a question about these: are these merely scans of the original or are are the issues stored in a form that make them searchable? I do have most issues that came with my S-II, but being able to search the entire content would be a great asset.

Hans: All of the documents on both CDs are .pdf files. I provide a directory with the second (1996 thru 2010) CD in both the .pdf format and as an Excel file. The Excel file can be sorted. I have not developed a directory for the Sterba newsletters yet. It is one of those things on my "to-do" list that I haven't done yet.

Fred, are the PDF files themselves 'searchable', or do the pages merely contain the scans of the original? I've once purchased a PDF document that was nothing more that a string of scanned paged packed into it - utterly useless if you have the originals already. If your PDF's themselves are searchable, I'd like to purchase a set. cheers Hans

Hans: The great majority of the .pdf documents are simple scans, so they are not searchable. But, all of the newsletters from the April-May-June 2007 issue thru the Oct-Nov-Dec 2010 issue, which were converted directly from word documents to .pdf documents, are searchable.
